FILAS supports DTA in the following 5 areas:
· Administration of the finances for research and development: distribution of the public (and possibly also private) funds to the forms for activities in research and development
· Cooperation between research facilities and companies: development of cooperation agreements; support for research and development programmes with the participation of private companies and public research facilities
· Start-up and expansion capital: financing offers and services for foundations (seed financing) and/or growth (expansion capital) from companies
· Added value services and trained platforms: services and platforms for cooperations to the benefit of the community (e.g. technology and market observers, platforms such as GTR, Lazio Connect, e-learning)
· Support with the demand development: national and international advertising and marketing for products and services of the companies in the district.

Brief description

In 2004 the Latium Region, the Ministry of Economics and Finance and the Ministry for Universities and Research signed the foundation contract of the first regional technology district for aerospace. The programme comprises the implementation of a series of initiatives of the regional authorities together with the finance institutes, research centres, universities and high-tech companies.
The DTA task is the advancement of the stable cooperation between the public authorities and private companies in research, industry and financing. Thereby an 'advanced industrial system' with specialists should be built up, which is also competitive at international level.
