The core business of Parma Tecninnova is the technology transfer, from which local industries and State and private facilities can profit, as a result of this transfer, innovative products and processes are made available by the international research world. Based on the expertise obtained, innovation processes can be initiated, which constitute an exchange between the market and the academic and scientific worlds.

The company deals in detail with:
- Planning and execution of projects in the field of applied research, innovation and development of products, services and production processes;
- Planning and execution in the field of training of company-own technical staff;
- Provision of infrastructures, services and promotion of corporate foundations for the build-up of the innovative production, in particular, with SME's.

From 2005 to 2008, we have handled about 170 projects in the field of applied research for contractor companies.

Brief description

Parma Tecninnova Srl, located on the campus of the University of Parma, concentrates solely on technology transfer, here in particular in the agriculture and food sectors and in machine engineering. The park itself accommodates no companies or laboratories, has, however, an agreement with the University of Parma, which provides the necessary facilities, research laboratories and expertise. Members are institutions from Parma such as the community, the province, the international Chamber of Agriculture and Commerce (CCIAA), universities, the Agency for Regional Economic Development (SOPRIP) and the Parma Industrial Association.
