The TLS Science Park TLS offers public and private funding for biotechnology projects, above all, start-ups; it provides a modern incubator with access to the most modern equipment for analysis, bioinformatics and proteomics at an excellence site outstandingly suitable for pharmaceutical-industrial research.
The Tuscany Region has initiated numerous initiatives for strategic and financial support in the life sciences segment. There were, for example, invitations for funding for industrial research for the covering of costs of small and medium.-sized companies of up to 80% of the investments in R&D.
The incorporation into TLS guarantees access to a growing international network, to a large extent consisting of the most important and international life sciences parks and the most active venture capital holders in the sector.
Brief description
The Science Park is one of the important projects of the TLS foundation, which in essence follows the following aims:
· Simplification of the start-up of biotech companies
· Support of the research into rare diseases
· Administration of the technology transfer on behalf of the Tuscany Region and the Universities of Siena, Pisa and Florence.
The main aim of the Science Park is the provision of equipped buildings, services and funding set up to create a good basis for new biotechnology companies.
